Bracknell Childrens Services – Family Support Advisors

Family Support Advisers are there to support you and your child to get the best from school. They do this by:
­ – Offering one to one support
­ – Listening to parents and carers and giving confidential support and guidance
­ – Organising regular drop in sessions to meet other parents and carers
­ – Providing information about other relevant services in Bracknell Forest
­ – Supporting parents and carers with their own learning opportunities
­ – Providing access to parenting programmes
­ – Putting parents and carers in touch with support groups
­ – Supporting SEN pupils in mainstream classes

Family Support Advisers aim:
­ – To build parents/carers confidence to deal with difficult parenting issues and behaviours
­ – To improve the achievements and attendance of children at school
­ – To strengthen relationships and communication between home, school and other services
